Bonita Bay Marina launches 'Harbor for Heroes' program
|
Bonita Bay Marina is extending a 50 percent discount on boat slip rentals to public service personnel through its "Harbor for Heroes" program.
Applications may be submitted for vessel approval with proof of insurance along with a valid ID and proof of current employment with EMS, fire department, U.S. Coast Guard or police serving San Carlos Park, Estero, Bonita Springs, North Naples, Naples or Golden Gate.
Bonita Bay Marina is a full-service marina offering wet slips with lifts for vessels up to 16,000 pounds and dry-boat storage for vessels up to 32 feet. The 50 percent reduction on current rates is available on a limited number of vacant slips that will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
"Harbor for Heroes gives us a simple yet unique opportunity to help serve those who serve us," said Tibe Larson, Bonita Bay Marina manager.
Certified by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a Clean Marina, Bonita Bay Marina is located on the Imperial River a short distance from Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico (GPS: N 26 degrees 20.315 W 081 degrees 49.677).
Bonita Bay Marina is a member of the international Shark-Free Marina Initiative and offers a fully stocked Ships Store, boat launch, detailing services, bait and fuel. Captain Ed's Charter Boats, which operates three 20-passenger vessels out of Bonita Bay Marina, offers licensed captains who provide back bay fishing, sightseeing tours, sunset cruises and other outings.
